Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2024 : 1746 Vacancies A Great Chance to Apply Online

Here are the bulk recruitment is opened with the number of 1746 for vacant post of Police Constables in Punjab Police through Government of Punjab and the minimum age criteria is 18 years and the maximum is 28 years. also, age relaxation may avail as per rules of department.

If we talk about vacant seats in Punjab Police Department for 2024, Here is huge amount of vacancies will open in near future of 2024. The requirements would open as follow:-
i) Constables (Currently Opened) – 1746 Posts
ii) Sub Inspector (Closed) – 160+ Posts
iii) Head Constables (Coming Soon) – 4010+ Posts
iv) Inspector (Coming Soon) – 525+ Posts

As per issued notification by Punjab Police for the recruitment of Police Constables in District and Armed Police Cadres, The number of vacancies are 1746 and the date decided by Police Department of Punjab to inviting application for the same is between 14/03/2024 to 04/04/2024.

The Punjab Police will also conduct a Running Test under the “Physical Screening Test (PST)” section/stage-II of this examination. In which the candidate must have to clear it in prescribed time period, Details are as follows:-
For Male :-
i) Male Candidate (Including Ex-Servicemen less than 35 years of age) – 1600 Meter Race in 6 Min 30 Sec (Only in one chance).
ii) Male Candidate (Including Ex-Servicemen more than 35 years of age) – 1400 Meter Walk & Run in 12 Min (Only in one chance).
For Female :-
i) Female Candidate (Including Ex-Servicemen less than 35 years of age) – 800 Meter Race in 4 Min 30 Sec (Only in one chance).
ii) Female Candidate (Including Ex-Servicemen more than 35 years of age) – 800 Meter Run in 6 Min (Only in one chance).

As per decided by the Government of Punjab through the notification of dated 29-12-2020, The minimum pay scale per month of a Punjab Police Constable is INR 19,900/- for 3 years from the date of his/her joining.

The overall examination of Punjab Police Constable is divided in 3 Stages:-
i) Stage-I – Computer Based Test (Paper – I & II) (Every question carries 1 Mark):-
a) Paper – I – 100 MCQ Questions – Minimum Qualifying Marks are 50 Marks.
b) Paper – II – 50 Punjabi Language Questions – Minimum Qualifying Marks are 25 Marks.
ii) Stage-II – Physical Screening Test (PST) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) (These tests are qualifying in nature):-
a) PST – Running, Long Jump & High Jump.
a) PMT – Height and other physical parameters.
iii) Stage-III – Document Verification.

The hierarchy (Structure of Ranks) of Police Department is almost same in every state except Maharashtra (Mumbai). Thus the ranks of Punjab Police officials is traditional. At the police station level details are as follows:-
1. Inspector – 1st Rank
2. Sub-Inspector – 2nd Rank
3. Assistant Sub-Inspector – 3rd Rank
4. Head Constable – 4th Rank
5. Constable – 5th Rank
6. Home Guard – 6th Rank (This is the Lowest Rank of any State/Central Police).
